Oran “Juice” Jones

oranjonesOran “Juice” Jones is best known for the 1986 Billboard Hot 100 “The Rain” as well as the duet performance with Alyson Williams “How to Love Again.”  Mr. Jones was the first musician signed to OBR Records, a subsidiary of Def Jam.  He was also the first R&B artist on this hip hop label and earned two Grammy nominations for his hit single.  Mr. Jones made his debut in the 1992 film Juice which he co-starred with the late Tupac Shakur.  He also co-starred in Malcolm X with Denzel Washington during that same year.  This local Houstonian continues to produce and score music for commercials and independent films while contributing to a number of hip hop blogs, including Houston’s jusflippin.com and Global Grind.
